DENOMINATIONS & DONUTS
A sharp -- but loving -- critique
of the way we "do church" today

by Ken Armstrong
with Dawn Armstrong

It's not about denominations, and it's not about donuts. Of the two, though, only donuts have any chance of being in Heaven. If that's true, why would we spend our time focusing on something with less eternal significance than a donut?

Chapters include:
  • Denominations and Donuts: What does God want you to know about focusing on doctrinal issues that divide us?
  • Vert & Horiz: Like the knobs on old TV's, it's how we're supposed to line things up for a clear picture.
  • Nachos: Your life is nachos, it's his. (Yeah, bad joke.) The danger of believing God is some kind of genie, obligated to grant our wishes for material wealth.
  • Redecorating the Motel: Hey, we're just passing through, and we can't take it with us. Why are we fixated on our temporary digs?
  • God's Splitting Image: Churches, families, and friendships - if we're created in his image, why are we so willing to damage relationships in order to get our way?
  • Whose Marriage Is It?: Caught up in political debates and trying to change laws - Why churches will never be happy as long as they "render unto Caesar" what is God's.
  • Bungee Cord Faith: That little word "believe," and what it really means.
  • A Big, Big Boat: Showing up for God's plans.

We expect D&D to go to print in the Summer of 2010. If you'd like us to let you know when it does, just give us your information below. You're not committing to buy the book, you're just asking us to let you know when it's ready.
